Eighth Day of Astrophotography - Solar Eclipse

Article Written By: Kyle Tam

Total Solar Eclipse

On the eighth day of astrophotography, the cosmos gave to me:
Eight enigmatic eclipses

This year was defined by two famous eclipses that happened both in August. The first was a partial lunar eclipse that happened on the night of August 6 over much of the eastern part of the world, while the second was a full solar eclipse that was visible from coast to coast in the United States. This beautiful shot of the solar eclipse during totality was taking by Marco Collins. Be sure to check out his  other amazing photos on his instagram @marco.collins at: https://www.instagram.com/p/BcON4LsA5Y0/?taken-by=marco.collins
