Photo of the Week

Photo of the Week
This week for Photo of the Week, we would like to feature a stunning shot of the Milky Way over the Great Wall of China. Taken by photographer 洪晓 宋, this lovely shot of the Milky Way is punctured by the irregular light beams of passing cars as they enter a 2,400 metre-long tunnel built to facilitate traffic away from the world heritage sight. Considering how populated China is, the Great Wall actually makes a decent location for astrophotographers to capture photos of the Milky Way, with many sections of the wall located in rural areas of the country.
